Join the Utah Taxpayers Association for a crash course in Utah tax policy. Keynote Speaker Clint Bolick, Vice President of the Goldwater Institute, will join local and state leaders to discuss local governance and fiscal responsibility. Topics will include Utah’s tax structure, economic development, state education funding, working with federal lands, funding state and local transportation, and keeping local government accountable.

2015 Annual Pre-Legislative Conference

LOCATION CHANGE: GRAND AMERICA HOTEL – 555 South Main Street, Salt Lake City

Leaders from the Utah State Senate and House of Representatives, policy experts, and community leaders will cover a broad range of issues that will be considered during the upcoming session of the Utah Legislature, including expanding the sales tax exemptions on business inputs, tacking transportation funding for the state and local governments, evaluating Medicaid expansion and the Governor’s “Healthy Utah Plan,” and modernizing education for the 21st century. Also meet the new staff of the Taxpayers Association: Vice President, Billy Hesterman and Research Analyst, Kelsey White.
