Of the eleven bond issues on the ballot throughout the state this November, six failed, including a $75.4m bond proposal in the Iron County School District which failed by 0.15% of the vote, and the first Park City recreation bond proposal to fail in over 20 years. This high rate of failure indicates taxpayers’ ongoing frustration with rising local budgets and burdens, and forces entities to review their priorities in order to fund necessary projects.

Your Utah Taxpayers Association encourages local entities to listen to voters, review their bond proposals, and come back with more modest and streamlined propositions.
