“If you make it too expensive to do business here in the states, you run the risk of driving investment and American jobs overseas.”
– American Petroleum Institute
President Obama wants to spend $50 billion more in stimulus money and he wants to raise taxes on US businesses to get the $50 billion.
Call your US Senator and tell him, “Don’t raise taxes on US energy companies.”
Congress is considering imposing discriminatory taxes on US oil and gas companies that would give an unfair advantage to foreign companies. Obama’s policy would use tax credits to favor companies like British Petroleum (BP) over US based companies.
Oil and natural gas companies in the United States support over 9 million jobs, contribute over $1 trillion to our economy and make up over 7.5% of our GDP. President Obama is threatening to impose discriminatory taxes on US companies ONLY that will increase the cost of business and push these jobs and economic growth overseas.
Call your US Senator and tell him, “Don’t raise taxes on US energy companies.”
