Utah taxpayers can now see exactly which local governments are proposing property tax increases in 2026—and what those increases could mean for their household budgets.

The Utah Taxpayers Association’s updated Truth-in-Taxation list includes cities, towns, school districts, water districts, fire districts and other taxing entities across the state that are proposing a tax increase this year. For each proposed increase, the report shows the current and proposed tax rates, the percentage increase, the estimated dollar impact on an average-value home, the additional revenue the entity expects to collect, and the date, time and location of the required public hearing.

Some of the largest estimated increases on an average home are in Ogden Valley City at $640.51, Hildale at $448.47, Eagle Mountain at $314.03, Cottonwood Heights at $249.18 and Roy at $213.44.

The proposals expected to generate the most new revenue include Granite School District at approximately $21.1 million, Salt Lake City at $13.8 million, Cache County School District at $8.6 million, Canyons School District at $6.9 million and Eagle Mountain at $6.7 million.

The list also identifies repeat tax increases. Several entities—including Salt Lake City, West Jordan, West Valley City, Midvale and Granite School District—are holding a Truth-in-Taxation hearing for the fourth consecutive year.

Hearings begin August 3 and continue through August 27. Before your local hearing, review the full list to learn who is proposing an increase, how much it may cost and where you can make your voice heard. You can view the full list here.
