Ahead of the 2023 General Legislative Session, the Utah Taxpayers Association has produced the following guide outlining the daily schedule and important dates and statistics. We hope it will be of use to those who plan to attend hearings to offer public comment, or who have an interest in the legislative process. Committee hearings and floor debates will be available virtually to the public via le.utah.gov as well as in person.
As we have done for the past 100 years, your Utah Taxpayers Association will work closely with legislators throughout the session to ensure the passage of bills which stand to benefit taxpayers, and will actively oppose proposed legislation which may be detrimental to taxpayers’ interests. As always, the Association will produce a watchlist of tax-related bills and award our “Friend of the Taxpayer” awards at the end of the session to legislators who consistently vote in the best interest of taxpayers.
