UTOPIA Headed to the Ballot?

Mayors from the six UTOPIA cities that voted to move forward to Macquarie’s Milestone 2 announced that they want voters to weigh in on the uNOpia tax through an opinion question on the ballot this November.

       For more than a decade, the Utah Taxpayers Association has urged member cities to provide the taxpaying public a formal opportunity to weigh in on UTOPIA. We are thrilled that these six cities finally share our perspective. We look forward to working with these cities between now and November in ensuring the language of the ballot question is fair and balanced and that the public has the facts they need to make an informed decision.
