The Utah Taxpayers Association is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization that works to limit state and local taxes, making Utah an attractive place to live and do business. We advocate on behalf of the taxpayers of Utah in three basic ways.
First, as the name implies, we strive to ensure that taxes are low and fair. We use the term “fair” to suggest that the tax code shouldn’t be picking winners and losers – all taxpayers should be treated the same.
Second, we want to make sure the education system (the largest recipient of Utah taxes) is preparing our children to succeed in a 21st century economy.
Third, we work to keep government out of the business of business.
Founded in 1922, the Utah Taxpayers Association successfully enhances efficient, economical government and fair and equitable taxation in the state of Utah as your tax watchdog.
